Tracker is changing direction for Season 4. After three seasons of Colter Shaw searching for answers about his father’s death, Justin Hartley’s reward seeker will put more of the focus back on tracking down missing people and taking on new cases instead of the Shaw family’s long-running mystery.

Justin Hartley returns as Colter Shaw as the CBS drama shifts toward the case-driven storytelling that helped make Tracker a breakout hit. The change promises more standalone searches and fewer family secrets hanging over Colter’s missions.

Tracker Season 4 premieres October 4 on CBS at a special time of 9:30 p.m. Eastern following NFL coverage. Beginning October 11, the series airs Sundays at its regular time of 9 p.m. Eastern and 8 p.m. Central.

Tracker’s fourth season is recalibrating the CBS drama around the element that initially defined Colter Shaw: solving urgent missing-person cases. For viewers who prefer the show’s self-contained investigations to its extended family mythology, the shift could make the next chapter feel more focused while giving Justin Hartley’s lead a fresh run of cases. The scheduling change also makes the October 4 premiere notable, with the series moving to its regular Sunday slot the following week.
