In a series of posts on his social media platform, Truth Social, former President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on three New York judges. He specifically targeted Judge Juan Merchan, who had recently put a gag order on him, preventing him from speaking out.
Trump claimed that the judge was taking away his First Amendment rights and suppressing the truth. He also criticized Judge Lewis Kaplan, who oversaw the defamation trials brought against him by writer E. Jean Carroll. Trump accused Kaplan of being biased and not allowing him to present a proper defense. He went on to call Carroll a “mysterious lady” who received a $91 million award despite her alleged lack of knowledge about the incident. In a separate post, Trump criticized Arthur Engoron, another judge, who had ruled that Trump should pay a fine of almost $500 million. Trump claimed that Engoron had undervalued his property, Mar-a-Lago, and accused him of committing fraud.
He concluded his rant by expressing his willingness to sacrifice his freedom and comparing himself to Nelson Mandela in his fight against what he perceived as political operatives masquerading as prosecutors and judges. He vowed to “Save our Country” and make America great again.
