Jerry Can’t Escape His Smelly Car on Seinfeld

Jerry’s battle with the lingering odor inside his BMW only gets worse as the mysterious stench follows everyone who comes into contact with the car. While explaining the bizarre situation to Kramer, Jerry insists the valet’s body odor has permanently tainted the vehicle and is “destroying everyone’s lives in its path.” Meanwhile, Elaine realizes her boyfriend’s sudden excuse for ending their evening early may have had everything to do with the smell.

Created by Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, Seinfeld became one of television’s most beloved sitcoms by turning everyday annoyances into brilliantly observed comedy. “The Smelly Car” is a perfect example of the show’s knack for escalating an ordinary inconvenience into an increasingly ridiculous situation.
