Jackie Chiles wants nothing more to do with Kramer after the “mountain of misfortune and humiliation” he’s already caused him — until Kramer mentions a possible lawsuit against the tobacco companies.

A luxury nail salon known for elaborate “bling nails” lands in a serious dispute when owner Zaccaria receives a cease-and-desist order over acetone fumes allegedly spreading throughout the building.

Landlord Leon Johnson Jr. argues Zaccaria should foot the bill for costly ventilation upgrades, while she maintains she had no warning the fumes were traveling through the building’s ventilation system.

The Hot Bench judges ultimately side with Zaccaria, finding that the commercial landlord was responsible for understanding the building requirements of the business he rented to.

A teenage girl named Faith accuses her former boyfriend of trying to blackmail her with compromising photos he took during their relationship.

Judge Judy quickly zeroes in on their ages. When the defendant admits he was 18 and Faith was 15 when the photos were taken, Judy makes her position unmistakably clear: “That’s a no-no. I don’t care whether you took it with a Kodak Brownie… That’s a no-no.”

Judge Rachel Juarez has questions when a tenant admits she texted her landlord a lengthy grocery list — and expected him to pick up the tab.

The tenant insists the landlord repeatedly offered to help and kept asking if she needed anything, so eventually she took him up on it. But the judges are stunned by the arrangement, saying they’ve never heard of a landlord offering to buy a tenant’s groceries.
