Project 2025 seeks to completely restructure the federal government, with the dismissal of most civil service workers and their replacement with party loyalists. The agenda includes implementing far-right policies such as codifying Christian nationalism, significantly reducing immigration, and scaling back programs like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, military benefits, public transportation, and more.
Despite the public attention and controversy surrounding Project 2025, Trump denied any knowledge or affiliation with it, stating on his Truth Social platform that he disagrees with some of the agenda’s claims. This goes against his past support of the extreme policies. The Heritage Foundation also distanced itself from the Trump campaign. However, it is worth noting that some individuals who have contributed to the project, including John McEntee, were previously part of the Trump administration. Trump also attempted to implement some of the policies outlined in Project 2025 during his final days in office.
Alex Jones, known for his InfoWars radio program and dietary supplement business, has faced legal repercussions for spreading misinformation. He entered bankruptcy after being found liable in lawsuits filed by the families of Sandy Hook school shooting victims. Despite this, his program is still on the air, at least for now.
