Actor Jamie Foxx recently opened up about his health scare, sharing more details about what happened. Foxx revealed that it all started with a bad headache on April 11th. He asked a friend for an Advil, but what followed was 20 days of being completely “gone,” as he described it. He doesn’t remember anything from those days.
Foxx explained that his sister, Deidra Dixon, and his daughter, Corinne Foxx, were the ones who took him to the first doctor in Atlanta. It was there that he received a cortisone shot to relieve the pain, swelling, and irritation. However, when he went to see another doctor, they noticed something was going on in his head. Foxx didn’t reveal what exactly the doctor said, but he joked that it was something he couldn’t say on camera.
Fortunately, Foxx’s sister was instrumental in saving his life during this health crisis. He expressed his gratitude to her in an Instagram post, acknowledging that without her, he wouldn’t be here today. It seems that her quick thinking and decision-making played a crucial role in his recovery.
Foxx is finally starting to feel like himself again after this unexpected dark journey. He recently returned to the FOX competition Beat Shazam and even teased a return to stand-up comedy where he plans to address what happened. It’s clear that he hasn’t let this health scare hold him back, and he’s determined to continue pursuing his passions. So, be on the lookout for Foxx’s upcoming performances where he’ll share his story and bring laughter to his audience once again.
