Christopher Meloni Spotted Back on the Law & Order: SVU Set
Christopher Meloni’s visit to the Law & Order: SVU base camp matters because it reconnects Elliot Stabler to the series after Law & Order: Organized Crime ended, while giving showrunner Michele Fazekas a chance to discuss a possible return. Nothing is confirmed for Season 28, but the emphasis on a meaningful story—not a passing cameo—keeps Stabler and Olivia Benson’s unresolved history central to the conversation.
Elliot Stabler may be heading back where it all started. With Law & Order: Organized Crime now over, Christopher Meloni recently visited the Law & Order: SVU base camp and met with showrunner Michele Fazekas, immediately fueling speculation about what could be coming in Season 28.
Nothing has been confirmed, but Fazekas has made it clear she’d like to bring Meloni back when the story and his schedule allow. Any Stabler appearance would need to be meaningful rather than simply a cameo, leaving plenty of unfinished business between him and Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson.
Law & Order: SVU returns October 8 on NBC.
